Best Places to Stay in Pisa – Budget, Mid-Range & Luxury Hotels Guide

When you think of Pisa, the first image that pops into your mind is probably someone pretending to hold up the famous Leaning Tower of Pisa. But beyond the iconic photo spot, Pisa is a charming Tuscan city with cobbled streets, medieval squares and the gentle flow of the Arno River cutting through its heart.

Although many travellers visit Pisa as a day trip from Florence, staying a night or two lets you experience the city without the crowds once the tour buses leave. The good news is that Pisa has plenty of accommodation options for every kind of traveller from budget-friendly hostels for backpackers to elegant hotels that capture the charm of Tuscany.

This is the hostel where I stayed at, a 20 minute walk from the airport. While it may not be the most social hostel in town, it’s definitely one of the most budget-friendly options for backpackers visiting Pisa.
